“He is My Refuge and My Fortress”

"He is My Refuge and My Fortress"

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.  I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust.” — Psalm 91:1–2 NKJV

Years ago, my husband and I visited Zion National Park.

Breathtaking.

Magnificent.

Incredible.

As we drove through the canyons, I couldn’t help but think about God—the Creator—the One who formed this beauty and wonder with His hands.

When I study Psalm 91, I think of Zion National Park. I envision standing in the shadow of one of the mountains and looking heavenward. “He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust” (Psalm 91:2).

The Creator is worthy of your trust. The One who formed the deserts, the canyons, the mountains. The One who formed the rivers, the oceans, the seas. The One who formed your inward parts and covered you in your mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13).

What are you facing today?

May you say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress. My God, in Him I will trust.” Click To Tweet

May you dwell in the secret place of the Most High.

May you abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

May you say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress. My God, in Him I will trust.”

Lord, may this woman dwell in the secret place of the Most High. May she abide under the shadow of the Almighty. May she say of You, “He is my refuge and my fortress. My God, in Him I will trust.” In Jesus’ name, amen.
